EC-Net & JACE Tech Guide
3 common issues that can stall commissioning — plus quick fixes to get you moving again.
1) Wizard won’t launch on GEN2 ECY
Often after installing the EC-Net support pack on non-Distech JACEs.
Symptom
Connection attempts fail, or you see: “connected host failed to respond.”
Solution
Install the Distech EC-Net Facilities “Unified Package” from the Distech Controls Software Center under the EC-Net Platform tab.
2) “Not Licensed” on a Distech JACE
Wizard appears unlicensed even on genuine Distech hardware.
Cause
Likely a version mismatch between the JACE software revision and the installed support pack.
Solution
Update the EC-Net support pack to the latest version via the Software Center. If issues persist, perform a full reinstall.
3) JACE 9000 Host ID mismatch
Workbench Host ID doesn’t match the SD card Host ID.
Symptom
Host ID in Workbench is missing the “SD” prefix.
Solution
Power down the JACE, reinsert the SD card, then power back up to pull the correct Host ID.
Pro Tip
Always verify the Host ID in Platform > License Manager before requesting or moving licenses — make sure it includes the “SD” prefixed ID.
