What is Resense Air?

Resense Air is a communicating room sensor designed for precise environmental monitoring in a compact, wall-mounted enclosure.

  • Temperature-only, temperature and humidity, or CO2-enabled models
  • Optional direct NDIR CO2 sensing for demand-controlled ventilation strategies
  • One Cat 5e cable carries power and RS-485 communications
  • Two RJ-45 ports support daisy-chaining with compatible room devices
  • Available in black or white

What is Resense Move?

Resense Move is an AI-powered, networked multisensor that combines privacy-conscious people counting, real-time presence detection, and environmental sensing in one ceiling-mounted device.

  • Thermal people counting and rapid presence detection
  • TVOC, light level, sound level, temperature, and humidity sensing
  • BACnet/IP communication over Ethernet
  • Bluetooth Low Energy for compatible occupant-control and positioning applications
  • Configurable LED feedback and mounting options for different ceiling types
Resense Move temperature and humidity readings are intended as secondary or backup inputs—not as the primary source for space-control loops.

How do they work together?

Resense Air and Resense Move provide complementary information about the same space.

Resense Air measures the conditions occupants experience at the wall, including temperature, humidity, and optional direct CO2.

Resense Move adds ceiling-level insight into presence, people count, space usage, TVOC, light, and sound.

When integrated into a properly designed Distech Controls system, that combined data can support more informed comfort, ventilation, energy, and space-management strategies.

Why it matters

Room conditions tell one part of the story. Occupancy and space usage tell another. The Resense family helps building teams bring those views together so they can make more informed decisions.

Comfort

Understand the conditions occupants experience in the space.

Air Quality

Monitor direct CO2, humidity, or TVOC based on the selected sensor.

Occupancy

Gain real-time presence and privacy-conscious people-counting insight.

Space Utilization

Use better data to understand how rooms and shared spaces are being used.

Bottom line

Resense Air measures the environment. Resense Move measures how the space is being used. Together, they can provide a more complete view of comfort, air quality, occupancy, and utilization.
