Cleveland Controls Division of UniControl Inc. was founded in 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio, by Mr. Norman Hahn as Cleveland Fuel Equipment Company. During the 1950’s, the company moved to its present facility at 1111 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, Ohio. Its name changed to Cleveland Controls, Inc. in 1958. Later, the company consolidated with Hays Republic Corporation, and during 1994 the two companies reorganized as Divisions of UniControl Inc. At that time, the combustion controls and instrumentation product lines of the individual companies were consolidated as Hays Cleveland, while the air switch product line remained as Cleveland Controls.
